This is a list of advanced network settings. Complements Article Network Manager (Networks).

Configuration Files

Files are saved in the configuration path:

  • /etc/NetworkManager/ (service)
  • /etc/network/ (Related settings)

iwlwifi file

The file iwlwifi It contains data for Intel. accessed from /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf.

Default:

options iwlwifi 11n_disable=1 bt_coex_active=0 power_save=0 swcrypto=1

If the computer does not recognize the speed, you can change the code shown below:

options iwlwifi 11n_disable=0 bt_coex_active=0 power_save=0 swcrypto=1 auto_agg=0

Restore default settings

If you have problems with the network service. Perform the following steps (making a backup before):

  1. Go to /etc/network/interfaces
  2. Edit:

    # interfaces(5) file used by ifup(8) and ifdown(8)
    # Include files from /etc/network/interfaces.d:
    source-directory /etc/network/interfaces.d

  3. Make sure the file /etc/network/interfaces.d It should be empty.
