Hello !

Since I update to 15.9 I am having problems that the deepin-anything process occupies 100 of the cpu and the file searches do not work correctly either, searching I found that this process indexes files for faster searches, did any have the same problem? could solve?

Greetings

Welcome to the community @gabrielanibalmonsalvoI hadn't heard of that problem before, it sounds quite annoying, have you tried lowering the priority of that process to a minimum to see if that helps with the situation?

No, I didn't try, I'm going to try that. It seems that it is something that happens to me just because I look everywhere and I can't find anything at all.

Greetings!

Hi.

I have noticed it for a couple of months now, but it has not given me any problem, it lasts a couple of minutes running intensively and then "leaves the processor alone".

I use conky to monitor the system and what I have observed on my computer is that deepin-anything uses 100% of one of the 4 processor cores, but the overall percentage of use of the processor does not exceed 30%. Also the system load (load average) does not have a significant impact, my computer continues to run smoothly and I do not notice any performance problems. I have also not noticed excessive use of the hard drive.

My processor is an AMD FX-4100, I have 8 GB of RAM and the hard disk is 120GB solid state, the newest is the SSD and it is about 4 years old so it is not a fast SSD, the rest already have almost 7 years.

Greetings.

Hi Isa,

Could you please share the conky configuration? It looks awesome.

Thanks

I am currently using version 20.1 of Deepin and one of the processor cores was also fired to 100% and it remains like that for a while with the deepin-anything-tool process. According to the official site, it is an ultra-fast file search tool similar to what Windows does: deepin-anything-tool repo
Fact in passing: it started doing it about half an hour after using the search function and I had to run the following command:

sudo kill -9 [process PID]

and so I could stop it because I had the fans of the notebook to full.

@christiangrimberg it is unfortunate that problem happens, I have also experienced that% 100 CPU utilization problem on one of my machines.

Perhaps by prioritizing that process, you can at least mitigate that problem a bit.

Greetings.
