KDenlive 20.8

Kdenlive 20.08 is available with nifty features like different interface layouts (layouts), support for multiple audio streams, cached data management, and zoom in the clip monitor and effects panel, but it can be argued that the highlights of this version is stability and interface improvements. This release received a total of 284 commitments with some major contributions from new developers.

Under the hood brings a major refactoring of the project file which fixes a long-standing issue with the decimal (comma / period) separator conflict that caused many crashes (Collapses). Projects created with 20.08 onwards are not backward compatible, that is, you won't be able to open your .kdenlive project files with earlier versions.

This version also brings a performance boost in the generation of audio thumbnails, as well as in the playback of JPG image sequences.
