Audacity is a recording program and sound editing easy to use, it is free to use and open source software. You can record, play, import and export sounds to WAV, MP3, among others. (more on that below) The program offers the possibilities of cutting, copying and pasting; you can also work with several audio tracks at the same time, mix them or apply various effects to the sounds.

The program also has a built-in amplitude editor, customizable spectrogram mode, and frequency analysis window for audio analysis applications. Built-in effects include bass boost and noise removal, and the program also supports VST plug-in effects.

Among the audio formats supported by Audacity a range of both tablets and non-tablets are found. For example, among the uncompressed audio formats we have: WAV, AU and AIFF. On the other hand Audacity It includes support for compressed audio without loss of quality through the FLAC format. The application also has compressed audio support and loss of quality, among these and we can mention the following: MP3, Ogg Vorbis, M4A (AAC), AC3, WMA.

Due to the recent boom in publishing Podcasts, Audacity It has become extremely popular, as it has proven to be one of the most efficient tools for recording and editing Podcasts and other audio programs for online broadcast.

Usually Audacity should appear in the language of the operating system, but if this does not happen, you can fix this problem by manipulating and making some changes to the file audacity.cfg. To get started please make sure that «Show Hidden Files»In the Deepin file manager this activated. Then go to the following route:

Where "user»Is your account name in Deepin. (The account you use to enter the system). Then locate the file audacity.cfg located inside that folder. Open it with your favorite text editor and locate the parameter [Locale] dentro del fichero. Normalmente luce de la siguiente manera:

We are going to modify it to load the Spanish language when opening Audacity as follows:

Click on the image to see full size

Then save the changes and try again by opening Audacity. By this time the interface should now appear for you in the Spanish language.

IMPORTANT: Si no le aparece la línea que comienza con [Locale]try to open first Audacity and go to the preferences and make sure that «System»Is not selected, but«Inglés»Is selected, then when opening the file audacity.cfg if that line you are looking for will appear.

Saludos.
