Sorry I don't speak spanish but I am in Italy and using deepi 2.0
I don't find an english forum available so I ask to you if you can help me
I have an hp officejet pro 9020 that is fully supported from hplip 3.19.3
deepin 2.0 has still 3.18 (debian testing has 3.20)
can you package in your repo a more recent hplip to install in deepin 2.0 so that more recent hp printers are available?
in alternative has anyone tried to install hplip.run from official site?
@geol Hi, and welcome;
I'm not sure if this will help you but perhaps you should try the following, Open a terminal and type:
hp-setup
That should configure hp devices last time I checked, if that doesn't help please type the following and show the results here:
hp-check
Greetings!

Hi. Thank you for your reply. The hp setup misconfigures the printer as an officejet 8620 instead of 9020 and then it doean t print. And it doesn t scan even. Only from hplip 19.3 this printer is supported.. this means hplip in deepin is 2. Years old...
@geol I'm sorry that this didn't work, what if you try downloading a newer version of the drivers setup directly from HP themselves?

@eli the hplip from source doesn t install because of the dependecy libraries not found. It downloads them but you must insert which distro I am using. Deepin is not on the list and I tried debian 10, 10.1, 10.2 till 10.5 but with no luck.
At the end I installed fedora 32 with gnome . Printer and scanner work like a charm. So sad I cannot use deepin because the printer driver is 2.years old and nobody updates it 🙁
